"Parables for Life as a 21st Century Parent" will be a collection of stories that contain applications for today's
parents. Nationally published author Stuart Gustafson is accepting story submissions because stories that are written
by many parents will have a broader appeal to readers. As with all the books in the
Parables for Life in the 21st
Century
series, the stories are expected to include a modern narrative story, a moral to that story (or the "lesson
learned"), and applications for using that moral in today's life as a parent.

Here are just a few possible morals to the story:
  • Young birds do not learn how to fly by staying in the nest.
  • "No" is not always a bad answer
  • Be comfortable with imperfection; sometimes 80% is quite sufficient
  • Allow a cornered cat to gracefully extricate itself from its predicament(save face)
  • It's easy to remember your story when you always tell the truth
  • Mistakes can sometimes be your best teachers

Notes/Disclaimers:
a. There is no guarantee that a story submissions will be used in a
